This Day Arrived!

I wanted to send out one final post sharing our last bit of time together. Thank you all for sharing your amazing and wonderful children with Mr. Russell and myself. To love what you do for a living is a gift in itself but working with supportive and involved families makes our work even more enjoyable. Each and every one of the children taught us different ways of looking at the world and we delighted in watching them grow into kindergarteners.



Also I just want to give a class wide thank you to Kristine and Catherine for their work and support as room parents this year. Thank you for everything you both did behind the scenes. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and (nannies!) who supported this class throughout the year.

Catherine your work on the memory book was incredible. What a wonderful way to preserve the year! Here are some pictures of the children enjoying your hard work!

What a Greeting!

I arrived late for school this morning after an appointment. Just as I walked in the classroom the children were eagerly awaiting my arrival. There in the doorway was a giant box with a card for me! They gathered around while I opened the box. Here is a movie sharing the experience. Mr. Russell shared that several of the children had been working together for the majority of their work time planning this surprise. Such fun, hope you enjoy it!

Block Structures

In small group we made structures out of blocks. The structure had to be able to hold a cup of ten teddy bears, the puzzle from China or a box of small blocks. Some friends tested all three!! Everybody made a structure, it took us a long time and they all looked different!
A big thank you to Adam for helping put this together and picking the music!

Things We Did This Week

We worked on a castle. It was an idea we had and we started to build it. It is going to be a fort.

I have been trying to work on a robot but it didn't work out. I just wanted to make it with my dad.

I did like making stuff. Things like money.

I was making hearts a guinea pig and a worm.

We made a door for the loft.

I was working on making ovals and some pumpkins.

I was just working on my letters, so I can spell.

I built a marble run in the block area.

We did a play it was fantastic. It was great.

I got to say an announcement.
